Filed under: Komputer — yudhicrasx @ 5:43 pm

This is my 1st post which written in english, n hopes will be d last 1. 1st of all, sorry about my screw english :-p.. all respons including transfer of money is very welcome =p..

Anyway, i installed linux ubuntu 8.04 (d latest version) in my PC. D original CD i requested still on d way at mine, i askd that CD from d legal website of ubuntu here i asked for 10 CDs, and they’ld ask u about d reason why u request more than 1 CD. I ws requestd a Netbeans DVD also, here d URL. Its server edition i askd. So im wating here till d CDs received at me.

This is my 1st time use ubuntu it version in mine, and this is not a tutorial or kind of that, i feels shy to publish this post actually bcoz im still ruinning on this Operation System, im a newbie.. Overall, i was trying to help.

OK, at d 1st time use ubuntu this version, we would gives a privilege as user that we signd d name and password before (in instalation process). On that instalation process, it doesn’t ask me to assign a password for root user that have highest privillege on linux. For your information, ubuntu have set d root password as blank, yea d password is blank. How to change d password ?? Let me tell u (i think u know already).. after instalation,on desktop environtment, u open the terminal window. Check d privilege, do d system known u as usual user ?. its shows on d terminal ” $ ” as user and ” # ” as root or super user.

The way to change ur privilege as root is on this picture :
